Guy Kuo
Dr. Guy Kuo, president of Ovation Multimedia, is responsible for the program's video calibration patterns as well as other sections. As the principal creator of Ovation's critically acclaimed CD-ROM version of the AVIA Guide to Home Theater, Dr. Kuo developed many innovative features. He has used the DVD-Video format to advance those ideas and features. Dr. Kuo has been actively involved in high-tech consumer electronics and audio/video projects for many years. As a partner in KS Labs, he developed accelerators for personal computers.

David Ranada
David Ranada, perhaps the media's leading engineering authority on digital audio and video, is the writer of this AVIA disc, its technical advisor, and the creator of its audio test tones. Well known to consumer electronics enthusiasts, he was the technical editor of High Fidelity magazine and was the long-time technical editor of Stereo Review, until that magazine merged with Video. David now serves as technical editor of the merged publication, Stereo Review's Sound & Vision.
